G20 Members The Group of Twenty (G20) comprises 19 countries (Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Türkiye, United Kingdom and United States) and the European Union. First let us understand what is G20? G20 is a group of 20 such countries that represent 60℅ of the world population. These 20 Countries (19 countries+ European Union) account for 75℅ of world Trade and 85℅ of world GDP comes from these countries.G20 was established in 1999.The inaugural meeting of G20 was held in 1999 in Berlin. How does G20 work? G20 has two main tracks: 1 The financial track 2 The sherpa track. THE FINANCIAL TRACK 1 Global Economic Growth 2 Tax information exchange 3 Financial Regulatory Reforms 4 Fossil fuel subsidies 5 Green Finance 6 Financial inclusion 7 Remittances across the world SHERPA TRACK 1 Employment 2 climate change 3 Agriculture and food security 4 Anti corruption measures 5 UN Sustainable Development Goals 6 improvement of Healthcare. Sherpas' are representatives of G20 Countries Sherpas' work together with the finance ministets and governors of the Central Banks.The presidency of G20 rotates every year among its member countries .
